September 19, 2019 – June 18, 2020 | 3rd Thursday of Each Month 6:30-8:30pm | The Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture

To open the door to conversations about death and dying, and how our awareness and perception of death impacts how we live our lives.

All are welcome and all are invited to join facilitators Shatzi Weisberger, Chad Brant-Gargan, and Becky Carmel for a monthly discussion series on death & the art of dying. The facilitators collectively have experiences in death education, death doula work, trauma support group facilitation, thanatology studies, nursing, caregiving, ministry, and growing old.

Meetings include full group discussion, small group or partnered discussion, as well as guided workshop activities and short presentations on an idea, book, or theme. We encourage sharing experiences, concerns, fears, expectations, ideas and philosophies for our own and our loved ones’ end of life. The meeting is free. Refreshments will be provided. Potluck contributions and donations towards refreshments are welcome.
